I am directing you all here because like any article that hits a nerve, I keep receiving comments back and forth (real ones in discussion not troll stuff) weeks after the original article aired. The writer of the article happens to be the editor of Electric Literature. The original article is titled:

“When Popular Fiction Isn’t Popular: Genre, Literary, and the Myths of Popularity”

He even has others tweets in the article because it’s such a hot button topic, but read the comments after the article. That’s where the real discussion begins. (Yes, I’m in there a couple of times too.)
