Is there a competition on? Moms get carried away with crafts….
I got home after midnight from a business trip last night. That’s probably why I didn’t notice it until the morning. This bag. Alone. On the kitchen table.
Normally, getting my kids to the breakfast table is like trying to coax a couple of cats into a swimming pool. As soon as they wake up, they hide under blankets on the couch and make strange noises. But this morning was a different story.
Audrey came out of the bedroom, wiped the sleep from her eyes, and went right to the table. She sat in front of the bag with a smile on her face.
“What’s the bag for?” I asked as I created my super-duper breakfast parfaits. Colorful layers of yogurt, fruit, and cereal.
“We got it for our end-of-year party yesterday.” She reached into the bag.
“What did you get?”
She started pulling out different items and commenting.
“Goldfish…

Yes I too read this. At first I thought it was a woman. Then after returning to try and find a place to comment I found out it was a man. That tells you I dont follow him. Try after try nothing until I went to another blog he wrote. So then I commented on that one since he left it open Im assuming. Well my comment was about the to the moms blog. I also posted in a blog of my own exactly what I thought of his little rant. And it was a rant. You cant possibly say what he said and actually think that people wont take offense to it. And the people that were offended were then bashed on by the people that read it differently. As in made them laugh out loud because they can relate. He should of left out the belittling remarks and cracks at the women that do craft. Possibly then people reading this would not of been made to feel as though they were being attacked. For a missionary I would certainly expect a more friendly hey lets all get along approach to what he intended on making a point of. One commenter was very correct in pointing out that he made it a point to say he came home from a long business trip. Those words spew of self doubt in his parenting capabilities. He feels as if he needed to justify why he was about to write what he wrote. As if to make people understand, oh hey, I dont have time for this, Im a busy busy man doing very important things with my life. Then why did he have kids in the first place if there was no time for them? And one woman offended by the post said that people can make time for it. A reply to her was by someone dealing with an enormous amount of problems in her life with family, health and work along with school. However I would like to point out to that individual that they did take the time to read the blog and to reply to it. That could of been time spent doing something enjoyable with the kids. Rather than saying she didnt have time and how rude of the other woman for pointing out that people need to take and make the time. However I do understand her point. As I do everyones. But what I cant understand is how rude people got with one another about this. Well actually I can. Its his fault for posting such a blog and inspiring people to behave in this manner. For someone that supposed to be spreading the word or God and teaching love all humans great and small, he isnt doing a very good job. He should possibly reconnect with God and get a better understanding of Gods word if he is going to be such and influential writer to the world. Well thats all I have for now. Thank you for listening. Im sure nobody is going to read this anyway, and most certainly not the person I would like to read it most. Oh and if you do read this Mr. so and so, Think before you type! Oh dear God please, oh please, THINK BEFORE YOU TYPE!
